8 easy ways to burn more fat

1 - Kickstart your day the right way

Remember being told from a young age that breakfast is the most important meal of the day? Well this is very true. A Healthy breakfast will kick start your metabolism allowing your growing muscles to be nourished whilst initiating the fat burning process. A healthy breakfast will also fuel you to get through the morning, and most importantly prevents your body from going into starvation mode, which can lead to excess fat storage.
Remember - the early bird gets the fat-busting worm.

2 - Grazing

Eat more to lose more. It is that simple. 5-8 small meals spread 2-3 hours apart throughout the day will surge your metabolism. This style of consumption is called ‘grazing’. Rather than having three meals a day (breakfast, lunch & dinner) this will total more calories at each sitting, making it harder for your body to digest food for fuel and will make it harder for your metabolism to catch up. Portion control and having these meals prepared will decrease overeating.

3- Strength training
Strength training can be confusing. Mainly females think ’strength training’ and associate it with huge muscly veiny shoulders and biceps. It is a misconception and research has found that strength training has multiple benefits when it comes to burning fat. Studies have shown that 12 weeks of strength training paired with aerobic exercise is more affective in reducing body fat than aerobic exercise alone.

4 - Switch it up
Add bodyweight movements to your structured workout. The best way to keep it interesting in the gym so you’re not doing the same old boring workouts is to mix it up. Remember that your body gets use to weekly training sessions. It knows that Monday you’re going to start with flat bench press, then go to incline press, then use the smith machine for shoulders and superset front raises with upright rows! It knows! Mix it up and add some bodyweight movements to your sessions. Do some pushups, chin ups, dips, or even take the day off weights and do a cardio blast, or even a yoga!

5 - Herbal remedy
Green tea aids fat burning and it is high in antioxidants. Taken in capsule forms or drunk as a tea, green tea continues to yield new and exciting benefits for physique minded individuals as one of the most researched supplements you must have. It has caffeine which boosts metabolism too.

6 - Sleeping

Minimum 7.5 hours per night is recommended for weight loss. Who doesn’t like sleep!? Sleeping repairs your body and reenergises you for the next day. Studies show that lack of sleep relates to weight gain, poor diet choices and lack of exercise.

7 - Cut / limit alcohol consumption
Alcohol is full of empty calories. A big night out usually contains 1000 calories depending on what you’re drinking, followed by a 3AM greasy kabab. Lack of sleep which will aid fat gaining. And I bet you don’t feel like your chicken & vegetables the following day nursing that hangover? Fried food, pizzas and burgers on the menu. Alcohol has a chain reaction. 2 glasses of Red, or a couple of vodka sodas won’t break the diet, but the truth is alcohol is best avoided when trying to get that dream rig. Remember - your body is a reflection of your lifestyle.

8 - H.I.I.T Training
High intensity, interval training. These are the ones we love to hate, hate doing it but love it when its done. This is what gets the heart thumping through your chest in a short amount of time. Hiit training would have to be the most affective weight loss method. If you can squeeze in 15-20 minutes, 3-4 times a week, with that healthy diet I guarantee you will see results.
