how to stay motivated during winter

As winter approaches, it's common for our motivation to dwindle and our training routines to become more challenging. However, maintaining and even building your fitness during these colder months is not only possible but can be incredibly rewarding.

We understand the struggle, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. Here are some strategies and resources at Innerwest Crossfit that we have put together to help you stay on track:

  1. Regular Check-ins: Schedule regular check-ins with us to discuss progress, set goals, and stay accountable. Sometimes a little encouragement is all you need to keep going and we can do this to help you

  2. Nutritional Guidance: Winter can tempt us with comfort foods, but balanced nutrition is key to maintaining energy levels and performance. Nutritional advice available and you can check our website for our latest healthy recipes.

  3. Workshops & Social events : We will be scheduling a few workshops in the coming months. We plan on running a monthly get together outside of the gym too. This will be a good chance to catch up and help us stay motivated as a community. 

  4. Track Your Progress: Log your scores on BTWB, it is a great way track workouts, watch your lifts increase in weight and aim to get some RX next to some scores. Seeing improvements over time, whether in strength, endurance, or skill, can be incredibly motivating and reinforce the benefits of sticking with your routine.

  5. Bring a friend free Friday - During the next 3 months, everyone is welcome to bring a friend for free on Fridays! All you’ll need to do is let us know ahead of time
